What are Battle & Bounce SatSites not?
SatSites, as defined and operated by Battle & Bounce, have nothing to do with Scholastic Assessment Tests (standardized tests for college addmission in the US) or SAT's — Site Acceptance Tests as known from the engineering industry.
What are Battle & Bounce SatSites?
SatSites function as semantic & contextual nodes in multi-layered content networks. SatSites can be static or dynamic in nature. Most SatSite kernels are made up of content aggregation, syndication and creation modules. Scalable clusters of SatSites can be connected in numerous ways to generate high levels of content density. The results of this is intelligent traffic that converts extremely well while building brand awareness concurrently.
The aim of SatSites is to route highly targeted and contextual traffic to desired sources. Leads can be qualified through several filtering and funelling processes.
Traditionally a website has been easily understood by either a human being or a computer('s algortihm). SatSites are structured & stratified to be interpreted equally well by humans and machines — leading to far better indexing and positioning of key concepts and search terms.
SatSite modules — Key components: Attention, Retention, Leads filtering & Tracking modules
Most SatSites feature a combination of modules. The satsite modules serve different purposes. Key modules are:
1) Attention modules
2) Retention modules
3) Lead qualification/filtering/funelling modules
4) Engagement modules
5) Stats & tracking modules
SatSites are scalable in nature and easily integratable.
SatSites Implications & Projections
In the web 2.0 economy ,'Content Is King'. SatSite frameworks can enhance and position varied contextual web phenomena and can thus be seen as branded content channels.
Intelligent Traffic
At a time, a high number of eyeballs was sufficent. We've moved from impressions, to clicks to conversions. Traffic that doesn't convert is an expense. The unique combination of attention modules, retention modules, filtering modules and engagement modules generate intelligent traffic that converts exceptionally well — that is 100-200% above industry metrics. In addition to convetering very well, it builds brand awareness concurrently.
Technologies employed
Semantic Web technologies enable expressive queries against structured and interlinked information on the Web. Source: DBpedia
Interdisciplinary approach using tools, services and methodologies such as: Semantic tagging, semantic indexing, content aggregation, content syndication, dynamic content, OWL, ontologies, e.g. WordNet, customly created & domain-specific ontologies, DBpedia, Wikipedia, structured datasets, Interlinking, automatic querying, extraction frameworks.
SatSites as components in larger architectural & methodological frameworks
SatSies are key components in the Brand Positioning System defined and managed by Battle & Bounce. Read more about the BPS, Brand Positioning System, here: BPS -- Brand Positioning System
Definitions
Context/Contextual
Derived from Latin contextus. Contexual = of, pertaining to, or depending on the context, naturally and obviously. Context can be broken into the semantic roots con (with) and text (from Latin texere, to weave). Stratification: Context can mean 1) the parts of a written or spoken statement that precede og follow a specific word (or passage), influencing its mening or effect. 2) Seen from a pragmatic point of view 'contextual' describes all circumstances or facts that surround a particular speech act. Etymology: contextus joining together — scheme, structure, compare contexere to join by weaving.
Semantic
Semantic = having meaning, significant. "Semantics covers the subfield (of linguistics/computational linguistics) that is devoted to the study of meaning, as inherent at the levels of words, phrases, sentences, and even larger units of discourse (referred to as texts). Semantics studies the relationship between linguistics symbols and their meanings. From Greeek semantikos, from sema from semeion = sign. sémaínein to show, to mark (compare to brand | branding).

SatSite 0 — Musikblogs.dk — Uafhængig musikportal om musikblogs & musikblogging

SatSite 1 — Boom Boom Magazine
The Boom Boom SatSite serves as an easily readable and indexable content node in the Boom Boom Campaign cluster.
SatSite 2 — Music Wiki (in Danish)
The Music Wiki highlights Danish musicians and acts such as Mike Sheridan, Aura Dione, Kenneth Bager & the indie rock band Venice.
SatSites — associations
In the context of spaceflight, a satellite is an object which has been placed into orbit by human endeavor. Such objects are sometimes called artificial satellites to distinguish them from natural satellites such as the Moon. Satellite
A website (alternatively, web site or Web site, a back-construction from the proper noun World Wide Web) is a collection of Web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that is hosted on one or more web servers, usually accessible via the Internet. Site]
